APC Academy’s Serve & Return clinic is designed to help you perfect your serve, teaching you techniques for adding power, spin and accuracy to your shots. You'll also learn how to read your opponents' serve and return it with precision, developing the ability to anticipate their moves and gain the upper hand. Through intense drills and game-like scenarios, you will refine your footwork, court positioning and shot selection, and gain the confidence to take on even the toughest opponents.

Clinic cancellation policy: In the event that we have to cancel a clinic due to weather or player health and safety concerns, payments will be credited to the member’s APC account to use for a future event.

Getting to 3.5: Transition Zone Strategies (05/13/2026)

Mastering the transition zone requires excellent reflexes, coordination and strategy. This clinic will cover a range of topics, including footwork, shot selection and court positioning. In the transition zone, players have a limited amount of time to react to the ball and choose the right shot. Through intense drills and game-like scenarios, we will focus on understanding how and when to reset or counterattack and the importance of knowing when to move forward or backward, and how to cover the court effectively.

This APC clinic brings together three players with one of our PPR Certified Coaches for 90-minutes of high-paced, developmental play designed to fine tune your technique and enhance your strategic knowledge of the game. APC Free Introduction to Pickleball Lesson (05/21/2026)

Join PPR-certified coaches Nick Pessagno and Kenny Barnard to discover the joy of pickleball in a fun, supportive environment.

During this lesson you will learn basic rules and scoring, court positioning, player etiquette, and the fundamental skills to get you started with APC beginner and social open play.

Don't have a paddle? No worries! We provide all the necessary equipment, but if you have a paddle, go ahead and bring it! Also bring your own water and be sure to wear athletic clothing and court-type tennis shoes.

APC's Free Introduction to Pickleball lessons will be held at Truxton Park pickleball courts.

Please arrive 15-minutes prior to start time.

APC Club Championship: King & Queen of the Court

Get ready, APC—this is the event everyone will be talking about! The first-ever APC Club Championship is here, and only one King and one Queen will walk away with the crown… will it be you?

The APC Club Chamionship tournament is a pairs format. Individuals register separately, but provide partner name during the registration process. Both partners must register. The registration fee is $10.00 per player, per bracket and payment must be made by credit or debit card online.

Date: Saturday, June 13, 2026; Rain date Sunday June 14, 2026

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: Truxtun Park, Annapolis

Who Can Play: Paid APC Members in Good Standing

First Pitch: 6:35 PM
Location: Camden Yards, Baltimore, MD
Seats: Along the third base line (great views!)

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow APC members, family, and friends while enjoying a special Pickleball Night at one of baseball’s most iconic stadiums.

Baseball Game Ticket Information

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW!

Registration Process

Please note: Due to system limitations, game tickets and bus transportation must be purchased in separate transactions.

To complete your registration:

Register and pay for your Orioles game ticket using a credit card.
Then return to the event page and complete a second transaction to purchase your optional bus ticket using a credit card.

Both steps are required if you plan to attend the game and use the bus.

Bus Transportation

The bus holds a maximum of 55 riders. The club is charging $12 per person, but that fee is based upon 55 riders. Should an adjustment need to be made due to not reaching the maximum # of riders, those who registered for the bus will be notified of any additional fee increase on or about May 29. Final cost per bus rider will depend on total number of participants using the bus. There are NO REFUNDS for bus reservations for any reason.
If the game is rained out prior to bus departure or cancelled for any reason, there are no refunds for bus transportation.
If the game is delayed due to rain or the game goes into extra innings, the bus will still depart the ball park so that it returns to the Harry S. Truman Park and Ride by 10:30 PM.
