Registration is closed

Please read revised guidelines that describe the playing level required to participate in this clinic.

Registration is now open for the next 3.0+ Skills & Drills Clinic for intermediate players with a USAPA skill rating of 3.0.

All registrants MUST be capable of 3.0+ level play. Others will be referred to the appropriate clinic sessions that are designed for 2.5 or beginning level players. Advanced players will be referred to the 3.5+ level sessions. A brief evaluation will be done by the coaching staff of all new registrants as part of the first skill rotation.

At a minimum, participants should be able to execute medium-paced shots and understand the basics of court strategy and doubles player positioning.

Specifically, from USAPA, here are the traits of a 3.0 player:

FOREHAND:

Ability to hit a medium paced shot. Lacks directional intent and consistency.

BACKHAND:

Avoids using a backhand. Lacks directional intent and consistency.

SERVE / RETURN:

Able to hit a medium paced shot. Lacks depth, direction, and consistency.

DINK:

Not able to consistently sustain a dink rally. Not yet developed the ability to control this shot.

3RD SHOT:

Generally hits a medium paced ball with little direction.

VOLLEY:

Able to hit a medium paced shot. Lacks direction/inconsistent.

If you are unsure of your numeric skill level, please refer to the USAPA ratings guidelines.

Players with skill ratings below 3.0 should sign up for the C-Level clinics or Introduction Pickleball instead, as appropriate.  Please register for the session that is appropriate for your skill level, as the material covered during each session and pacing is appropriate only for that skill level.

These will be fun, fast-paced drill sessions.

Please be prompt, as we are on a much tighter schedule than last winter, and court time is limited. Stretch and warm-up prior to the clinic start time and be ready to play.

Additionally:

  • There will be frequent hydration breaks.  Bring your own water or other beverages. There are no water fountains on-site.
  • Bring your own hand sanitizers, and be mindful of social distancing.
  • You will need to supply your own portable chair to use during breaks.
  • Clean balls will be provided at the start of each clinic.

YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED since each session accommodates a limited number of participants. Due to the popularity of the clinics, we’ve updated the sign-up process to allow more interested people to participate who have previously been shut out.

** REGISTRATION GUIDELINES/PROCESS: **

  • An email will come out on Fridays opening registration for the following Wednesday's session ONLY.
  • First come, first served.
  • We ask that you only participate in one session per month so that we can spread the fun around to others who have been trying to get in to the clinics and have been unable to.

Thank you and ENJOY!
