Ball Machine Drills (members only)

 The Lobster has returned from its hibernation and ball machine drill sessions will begin this Friday, 5/19/23, 10 am – 12 noon at Truxtun Park, on one of the lower courts (#11 or #12).  The plan is to have these sessions every Friday and we may have additional weekday and weekend sessions if scheduling permits.

·  No advance registration by club members is required. There will be a whiteboard set up on the ball machine court where players can sign up to use the machine.  We will determine a maximum number of people who will be in the rotation, likely 8 or so, plus the supervisor. We envision rotating players every 15 - 20 minutes, just like a typical game. Two people at a time can use the machine.

·  The sessions will be on the Club calendar and reminder announcements via Team Reach to the Truxton group will be sent, and, eventually depending upon participation levels, to the Exchange.

·  While the machine is being used on 1/2 of a tennis court, the other 1/2 court will be made available for non-ball-machine drills (self-conducted). This will give the players who are waiting to use the machine a chance to drill or play a game.

Additional sessions will be scheduled and announced.
