Are you ready to take your pickleball game to the next level? Do you want to learn how to use the DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) system, play games, meet new people, and get on track to getting a rating? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
The Annapolis Pickleball Club is hosting an event that will provide you with all of these things and more. This event is perfect for intermediate players who are looking to challenge themselves and take their game to the next level.
During the event, you'll get to play 5-6 timed games over a 2 hour period. This will give you ample opportunity to show off your skills, get to know other players, and have fun. You'll also learn how to use the DUPR system, which is a universal rating system used by many pickleball clubs across the country. This system allows players to see their rating and compare it to other players, providing a clear understanding of their skills and progress.
In addition to playing games and learning about DUPR, you'll also have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. The pickleball community is a close-knit and welcoming one, and we're excited to introduce you to it.
So, whether you're looking to improve your skills, get on track to getting a rating, or just have fun and meet new people, this event is perfect for you.
Opportunity to learn how to record your game scores in the free DUPR App and play games to get your skill level rating.
Open to players looking to learn how to use DUPR and players already using DUPR to log additional scores in DUPR to make your rating more accurate.
Format of Event: Open Doubles Scramble
Time: 2 Hour Session
Number of Players: 20 per 4 courts

Rules of Play:
To begin play 16 players play doubles on 4 courts while 4 players sign up on the board (2 in each box) awaiting play

One game to 11 win by 2

Winners sign up on board first then non-winners.

Winners and Non-Winners split and play with new partners

After game record scores in the DUPR App and make sure one player from other team validates the score in the DUPR App
*You do NOT need an existing DUPR rating to attend. However, you do need a free DUPR account. Please download the DUPR App and create an account prior to the event if you do not already have one.
Volunteers will be on site to help you with DUPR and recording and validating scores.
