Opportunities to Support APC (email to members)

We have two exciting donation opportunities for our members. Both opportunities have anonymous matching gifts that will double the amount of your gift!

The first is the SaveStation that houses the AED donated by Phil and Gina Roter. The second is a memorial bench that will honor APC members.

SaveStation:

As you know APC purchased, with significant help from Phil and Gina Roter ($1,900) and Bay Capital Mortgage ($2,500 - our tournament title sponsor), the AED and the SaveStation that were recently installed at Truxtun.

We are now reaching out to our membership to raise $3,500 to cover the remaining costs. Every donation helps, no matter how big or small.

Memorial bench:

The APC Board would like to install a memorial bench at Truxtun near the dedicated Pickleball Courts. As many of you know, we have tragically lost both Greg Winton and Phil Roter. The idea is to have a bench with plaques honoring our pickleball members, like Greg and Phil. The cost of this bench along with plaques is $1800 – $2000.

We are working with Annapolis Rec and Parks to help us with the installation of a permanent bench that will withstand the elements, similar to the existing tennis benches already at the pickleball courts.

Donations: The most impactful way to donate is to send a check directly to Annapolis Pickleball Club

Annapolis Pickleball Club

100% of your donation will go to one or both of these causes. Please indicate in the memo of your check which cause(s) you want your donation to be applied.

Alternatively, you can make your donation with a credit card on the APC website. The service fee for credit card donations is 3% meaning we will get 97% of your donation.

A third way to give is a tax deductible donation through the Annapolis Community Foundation at the following link [LINK]. The foundation keeps 5% to help manage their administrative overhead costs reducing the amount of your donation.

Whichever way you decide to donate please know that the Board and your fellow members greatly appreciate your generosity.
