The rec center increased the allowed number of people per court to 40. This is double the previous guidance. We are exploring with them the option of using court #3 in addition to the Aux Gym during peak hours.
I agree with both Enee and Nick that court #3 is a far better location to deal with all this Covid stuff. And it rarely seems to be in use. Certainly not on the weekdays when we are most likely to be there.
I do not understand why PIP declared that 16 people per 3 courts were 'allowed' in the confined space of the AUX Gym? What sense does that make? Doesn't APC determine the best number of players signed up per hour? The air quality is horrible and we have to beg and search for a worker to get the doors open for any air flow. Even if PIP declares 16 people are 'ok' we do not have to agree to that allowance.... let's be safe and practical.
Since the rec center has increased the allowed number of people per court, we have increased the number of players per session to 16 beginning Monday 3/22. If you got closed out of your desired time slot, sign up now!. Please used either the signup board or queue of paddles to organize play. The signup board will be in the storage closet where the nets are stored by tomorrow 3/22.
