APC members, please take the two minutes to read this information regarding open play at Pip.

I have been asked to explain our open play times and reasons; they are as follows:

Monday-Friday: have historically been 7am-1pm, but we have access to and can play as long as no other groups are using the court space. This means we can play till 4pm just about every day if people choose to stay/come later to play. It is best to keep this on court three and auxiliary gym if possible but court one, if not in use, can be used as an overflow. WE DO NOT RENT THIS TIME so we can be bumped any time these courts are needed for other groups.

EVENINGS: right now we have, until 11/25, Monday evening open play from 6-9. We have Wednesday evening ladder play until 11/21. These ARE rented times. When these rentals end we will still have open play on Monday and Wednesday evening from 6-9 UNLESS someone else rents this time. Starting on Monday 1/6 until Monday 3/16 we have rented time for open play on court three from 6-9. Courts one and auxiliary gym are booked for other activities.

WEEKEND PLAY: this becomes more difficult. We get space ONLY when others are not using it...basketball, volleyball, private rental etc...we normally start open play from 8-1 but lately this has been moved to 1-4 on SATURDAY. SUNDAY we have been playing from 8-1. These times are dependent upon no one else reserving the court space. I TRY to post changes just as soon as I find out and sometimes I don’t find out until you do.

WE ARE NOT ON THE FRONT DESK SCHEDULE. Which means if you call and ask they will tell you there is NO Pickleball SCHEDULED, we are considered “open play” time.
